I have never used this function on all my Androids. What does it actually do? How do you view sd card contents if it's encrypted? Is it encrypted only when you remove it & view in other phone?

My swipe pattern comes first.. Then sim pin .. Then swipe pattern again. Seems like overkill. Which setting ensures it asks for a swipe pattern if a thief tries to put in his own sim?

Hi, I have my lock screen activated on my G6,+ sim lock +secure start up. I have a complicated pattern swipe as a lock and I find when I switch on my phone I have to enter my pattern lock.. Sim pin.. Then pattern lock again. It's a hard pattern and sometimes takes me a few mins to get it right...
