Well, that's on them since HTC never said what it was. Maybe HTC should have just said what the gift would be. Actually a USB-C cable is pretty good idea since for most people this is their first USB-C phone.

I've noticed their site is a bit funky at times like that. I've seen it say out of stock, then it's in stock on a different browser. I think you should be good if your card was charged.

It certainly seems like HTC is still just a phone OEM for other people with no understanding of public facing customer support. It's the one major area that they need to improve worldwide.
