Thanks, I installed a custom recovery and finally flashed a ROM! New problem: the ROM installed successfully, but it gets stuck at boot every time I power on with a green arrow circling around the Android Man. A little help here?

I have successfully rooted my Vortex with z4root, and now I wish to install a ROM. (I'm really sick and tired of Froyo.) So I use ROM Manager, obtain a ROM for my phone, and put it into recovery. Yay! The recovery screen shows up, and--- oh wait. The phone reboots by itself and FACTORY RESETS...
