After unpairing the unwanted Bluetooth device, I think you have to restart the phone for it to disappear from the list. I recall having to do that once before (sorry I don't have my phone with me at the moment to test it out).

I just got a new S3 yesterday and did the "Software Update" via the phone. It downloaded an OTA update and my current Android Version is 4.1.2. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to it, and so I'm not sure if it was the OTA update that bumped it to 4.1.2 or if it was some other minor update...
