I just replaced a damaged Droid DNA (HTC Butterfly for the rest of the world) with a Verizon M7 and I noticed that the 5ghz performance is much worse than the older phone. It's fine if I'm close to the router, but the signal drops sharply as I move away. The DNA gets 35 Mb/s in my living room...
