I wear glasses, so unless the iris scanner can make a positive ID through the lenses then I will be forced to use some other security method.

Have you done a power cycle after the update? Not a factory reset, but just powering down and back up again. Also, could your phone still be optimizing apps in the background?

Yeah, it's the September security patch. I installed it this morning and have not seen any problems so far.

Same here. This was bugging the hell out of me for the past two days.

I bought a USB data Cable from Verizon Wireless that works with my Galaxy S7 edge and 2016 Hyundai Tucson factory head unit. The cable has some small light at the end, and also charges my phone while working with Android Auto. I have had no issues whatsoever with this setup.

Clean the lint from your microphone. That small hole collects so much dust and debris that it could be affecting sensitivity. Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk

The light only appears when the phone battery does not have enough power to display active notifications and when the battery is really low on power. Once the X gets enough juice the light should turn off. Sent from somewhere
