Happens to me all the time on s7 edge if using power saving mode

I didn't know that 5.8 inch screen on the S8 is smaller than the 5.5 inch S7 edge which is somehow same as 6.2 inch S8+.....

If the whole screen is red, the software might fix the issue. However, I am not sure it can be fixed with software update if only the edges are red. Also, someone on reddit has a very noticeable red tint on one side of the edge only instead of both sides.

Before the announcement, I thought that the s8 would have the less pronounced curve like the Note7 had but they kept the same curve the S7 Edge has...

Yep, AMOLED screens do not have a backlight

There are multiple people on Reddit seeing red tint on the edges only and will be replacing the phone. Some are only on one side.
