In reading forums I learned that to increase battery usage you could get rid of some apps or widgets. I there a way to tell what you uninstalled. I cannot do a google search anymore, nor do I have the speak now feature on yahoo. Can anyone help>?

I'm stalled advanced task manager and it shows that everything is running in the background. The time just keeps going up by seconds on all of my apps. So what do I do to stop the apps from running in the background? Can't I just run them when I want them and then turn them off again? If so how...

So by installing one of those programs it will tell me what apps are continually running in the background?

So you don't think anything is wrong with my Nexus? I sent it back once because I didn't think it lasted long = about 3 hours. They sent it back with a new battery and 3 hrs is still all I seem to get, so I am thinking it has to be something I am doing, don't you?

The screen takes up 49%, google services 13% and google+ 10%.

I got to the page that has the recent apps open, but I have no pie chart, etc. I still have the back arrow, house and double rectangle.

I have put my own shortcuts at the bottom the the screen. Below those are a back arrow button, a house looking button and a double rectangular button.
