I apparently wasn't clear. The picture I included was of the original phone before they replaced it. The replacement phone is just fine.

They replaced it with a new phone. It was under warranty at the time. It had not sat unused. It never overheated until the day I discovered it had ruptured. As I recall, it was hot at that point, but it's been over a year now.
