Joining the tinfoil brigade myself. I baked 9 min at 325, and used aluminum foil + Arctic Silver to fill the gap. I will, of course, keep you all posted. EDIT: Not sure if it matters really, but I baked it CPU side up.

It's pretty much as simple as it sounds. Preheat an oven (temps I have heard are 300-325F and 200C) and put the motherboard in there for eight or so minutes. The idea is to re-flow the solder by heating it up in the oven. Whoo-hoo! Links! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reflow_soldering
