Still under warranty: how likely is the manufacturer to know that it was liquid damage?

Actually, I've looked at prices for the Moto G Power and they aren't worth that much. So if I sent it off and then look at paying to have it repaired and, one way or the other, paying for shipping, then I'd be throwing good money after bad. And I'm also worried that this is a degenerative...

Still under warranty: how likely is the manufacturer to know that it was liquid damage?

It's a Moto G Power. Is that moisture detection tag going to be visible to me w/out voiding my warranty? Googling '"moto g power" moisture tag' indicates that there is such a thing, but not specifically for that model.

Still under warranty: how likely is the manufacturer to know that it was liquid damage?

First of all, even I don't know if it was liquid damage. It did get wet, but I don't know how wet. I followed the protocols for drying it (turning it off, opening it up, putting it beside a dehumidifier, etc.) and it didn't have any problems at first, but since then some have developed and...

How do I follow up a question I've already asked?

Ah, I thought I had logged in. I guess I'm just used to being told to log in when I try to post. Ok, it seems to work now. Thanks.

How can I remove the security PIN?

Nothing's encrypted. My problem is that I don't think I can narrow down what's causing it.

why is this site a certificate problem on my tablet only?

When I goto http://www.eham.net/user/login in the native browser OR using Firefox I'm told there's a problem with the site's certificate. When I use a desktop FF (or any other desktop browser) this doesn't happen. My tablet's system clock is current and automatic updates are set. Posted via...

Is there any versatility in speech recognition?

Is there any manual somewhere that gives escape commands and such to give versatility to the speech recognition? As far as I can tell, if what you say is not interpreted the way you want: tough! So if you want punctuation, line breaks, or you don't like the homophone then SR is just unusable...

Sync'ing large amounts of data from desktop

I don't think Google Drive does it either. Put it this way: the acid test would be loading up the packing list to Packing List Lite (high recommended). It`s this delightful app that arranges packing checklists of things to pack and do before leaving on your trip. It`d be much more ergonomic if I...

Sync'ing large amounts of data from desktop

Perhaps "large amounts of data" was a poor choice of words. I should have said something like "large amounts of keystrokes". The idea is that I can do a lot of work w/a desktop keyboard rather than an awkward touch screen, then sync that work to the mobile. However, AirDroid seems to be what I...

Sync'ing large amounts of data from desktop

I'd like to be able to create large amounts of data on my desktop for various apps and then sync them to my Galaxy. Is that possible? What I really liked about my Palm is that most things I wanted to put on it, could be put on my desktop, w/a more efficient keyboard and pointing device than what...

How can I better protect my content?

I forgot to mention, I'm very cheap, so I was looking for a free option. (Actually, the reality is I really hate paying for something then finding out it's not adequate. It doesn't come w/a free trial, does it?) But I was looking for a pre-installed solution, but I guess there isn't one. I'm...

Damn! "Not available in your country (Canada)" I hate being told that

How can I better protect my content?

I have a simple 4-digit access code that has to be entered on the lock screen, but I'm also wanting to store much more sensitive stuff like credit card numbers and passwords and such. I'd like a much stronger password for those things. When I had a Palm, the memo app offered this kind of...

Controlling really loud chime, indicating speech recognition processing

Well, as I just discovered, there's a setting in Settings>Sound>Volume that lowers the System volume. Unfortunately, that'll lower the volume for all systems sounds when I'd rather just customize this one sound. I guess that's not possible :(

Controlling really loud chime, indicating speech recognition processing

When I use the speech recognition, there's this really loud, indiscreet, echoing chime. Is there any way to control that? Lower the volume? Change the sound? Anything? For some reason the main volume control doesn't affect it.
