Do you know why sending text does use phone's number and not watch?

My texts do go out with my cell number when connected remotely, just not when making a phone call.

When connected remotely I can't get it to change outgoing number to my cell phones number. It's greyed out. I think i was able once to make it show my original number. It does it obviously when connected via bluetooth. Any help?

Re: Gear s2 won't connect remotely. What does signing in to a Samsung account do? I don't think I am and I can go into a remote connection. (Side note) when I tried playing samsung milk just on watch no Bluetooth connection to phone, it did say standalone mode for some reason.
