Possibly the media scanner process has gone crazy, it can suck up the battery so fast that it can't charge. Normally I have found that its a picture or something like that, which is slightly corrupted and it gets stuck looping on trying to index / scan it. Possibly its a photo from Facebook, or...

I have the same problem on my Galaxy s2 when on 3g / mobile data, you can't sync, over wifi it works fine, its not phone specific. If you google it, you find lots of posts on answers.microsoft.com, but there is no solution yet. Problem with Outlook.com app on Android - Microsoft Community
