Old thread is old, but this actually helped me solve the same annoying problem. The alarm icon would randomly flash on and off and sometimes be there for days and then disappear. Turns out it was Pandora, which I rarely use anymore so I uninstalled; problem solved.

Not noticing any difference in battery, but speakers are noticeably quieter. I am really irritated by this considering "Boom sound" was a big selling point for me. I am hopeful they will make an update to address this. Posted via Android Central App
