is the google search app installed? Look for updates to the google search app on the Play Store

i tried lowering the brightness slider on my nexus 7 and the display got so dim that it shut off completely, still responding to touch input, but no visual. The problem now is that i took my finger off of the slider and the display is stuck at the lower setting. I am running 4.1.1.... any thoughts?
