OK, can anyone tell me how to flash Gapps to a secondary ROM, or at least get the playstore ? Or is there a way to install my TiBu update zip onto one of the new ROMs? I want to set up stuff on Cyanogen mod but at the moment can't do much as no play store.nor anyway of restoring backup. I guess...

both apex and Nova (and no doubt other launchers) have the function to backup layout and settings, it will save it on your SD card so isn't affected by ROM install. once you have flashed a new ROM, restored all your Apps with TiBu, simply go to Apex settings and restore layout. It is very easy...

I had this and couldn't fix it; ended up restoring to my latest Nandroid....sorry I can't be more help! The files are in /system/media but I think here is some elsewhere you need to remove too
