It looks like my battery life is getting crushed. Off charger at 7 am, then used GPS for 1 hour on the way to work this morning and by noon the phone was at 36%.

I updated to Marshmallow yesterday (64 gb version). Process went smoothly for me. My battery was draining quite fast prior to the update so it is difficult to tell if it has gotten any worse yet. I will check it out for a few days and let you guys know. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!

So what's everyone's verdict on the update, at this point? Do it or avoid?

I will not be buying a Droid phone again. I can't be tied to VZW and its onerous updating process.

Re: What phone next? I'm holding onto my Turbo at least until the Turbo 3 comes out. Despite being nearly a year and a half old, my Turbo still moves as fast if not faster than my wife's S6 and has (seemingly) double the battery life.

All that has been said at this point is that it is going to happen. No timeline as far as I know.

Best thing to do is go to VZW and complaint that the screen is cooked. The Turbo has a 2 year replacement for screen issues. You'll get a refurb Turbo in exchange.
