I use an app called Package Disabled Pro. That's how I disable anything I don't want running.

Re: Can't disable auto update, when put on "never install updates automatic" it turns back on later I just went into my setting and completely disabled Google Play Store. Hopefully this will be a temporary solution so I can find the ad problem.

I found the solution, at least for my S5. From the latest update of the Chromecast app (now called the GoogleCast app), I selected the tab in the upper left menu and selected screen cast from there. It works perfectly from here. I hope this helps everyone.
