Update: with the most recent GOS release (2025110801), it seems to be functioning as expected. I've now had two days of consistently held 80% max charge irrespective of battery level when I plug it in to charge. Will update if things change.

that makes some sense. it will charge to 100% every week or two to ensure the battery capacity is calibrated.

The following charge, after observing that everything seemed to be working as it should, has resulted in the Tablet again charging beyond 80%. I'm out of ideas at this point. I'm just going to chalk it up to being a bug.

I know that it needs to go to 100% every so often for calibration purposes. Haven't tried on my 9 Pro yet but my Pixel Tablet is having this issue.

Good to hear some positives for L. I saw many comments when it was first available on the Z3C with regards to stability and battery life being an issue... That said, I typically avoid the v#.00 releases.

This is by no means a pro BB post but I moved from a decade of BB useage about 5 months ago. Love the Z3C but the speakers are very disappointing as is the camera LED compared to my BB devices... My worry would be battery integrity. I'm used to BlackBerry and removable batteries. So I never worried too much because I could just replace it if it failed (which mine have on more than one occasion). Now that I have a Z3C, I try to keep the temp from going too high or low.

Have the same one. Not sure I notice a difference. Possibly a bit slower but haven't ever timed it. I use it to preserve the seals as I use my phone for navigation on my motorcycle and it rains quite a bit here. So far so good 👍
