its no weakness, it was working.. even it had button enable/disable ad-hoc . Maybe they intentionally block it ?!?!

last week I boght the S4 and that day he detected my ad-hoc network few days after, the phone asked for update and after it the ad-hoc networks were not there anymore.. what happened? it is really frustrating that 600 Euro phone does not have pass through internet and cannot connect to ad-hoc...
