Same issues, if not worse accuracy. An estimated 7.5-8 mile run clocked in at 4.51, and a 3.2ish clocked in at 2.59. Splits are all over the place, sync to Garmin/Strava/MMF results in wildly inconsistent interpretations. I purchased it for exactly the same use case. I can't imagine the GPS...
