If you are missing the shortcut for Play Store, it should probably be the first to fix. You should be able to go into Settings/Apps/All and scroll down to Google Play Store, select it, scroll down to Launch, then when it launches reload it.

A comment on Amazon indicated that their tablet was changing MAC address every time it restarted. If using MAC filtering on your router, this would definitely kick you out.

Some phones can be set to flash on ring. Check that setting.

I'm lazy and just use ES File Explorer to access shares on my network. It is free on the Play Store. In ES, go to Network/LAN/ Scan for devices, select the one you want (or enter IP address manually), then select it. For the screen you might need to try your TV's controls to get it all on. China...

I'd go with nothing larger than 32 GB. Large micro SD cards have been horribly unreliable in my experience. After three failures of Transend 64 GB SDs, I asked for my replacement to be two 32 GB cards and they've worked fine for two years now.
