What has happened to Google Drive Backups?

Thanks for the advice. I checked out the Google One app on my Tab S8 and there is a Storage option which I tapped on and this provides a summary of contents including the Whatsapp backup. I can view the apps backed up on my other devices, though there is no indication of if and when the...

What has happened to Google Drive Backups?

Looks like the screenshot is stuffed. I had a lot of trouble attaching it but it looked OK in the draft. Apologies.

What has happened to Google Drive Backups?

I have just gone into the Drive app to access Backups only to find that the option is no longer available. It has disappeared from the drop down menu on the top left of the app. If I go to the Google One app I can see there has been a backup recently but I cannot the view the details as before...

Home screen app grid cannot be changed after update

I disabled Home Up and then uninstalled Good Lock but the problem persists. There was an update on Galaxy Store for the Oneui Home Screen. I downloaded this but still no luck. As I use one of the features on Notistar I then reinstalled Good Lock. I will just have to live with this until...

Home screen app grid cannot be changed after update

OK. I will try that. But should it be turn off Good Lock altogether or just Home Up?

Home screen app grid cannot be changed after update

Yes Home Up. Home Up says 6x 8 as does the device Settings. I can manually create extra columns by manoeuvring the app icon. However I assume the configuration enabled in Settings should automatically happen in the Home Screen. The odd thing is that the number of apps on the new Home Screen...

Home screen app grid cannot be changed after update

I have just updated my Tab S8 5G to Oneui 7 and find the app grid on 5x6 despite the Settings enabled at 6x8 with 8 columns. I checked with Home Up and it is also set at 6x8. The App drawer has 8 columns. Any suggestions as to how to fix this would be appreciated.

    Whatsapp backup problem

Thanks. I changed the battery settings to Unrestricted for the app. I want to leave the frequency on Daily as putting it on Weekly would delay knowing if it was working. I am not sure what you mean by different accounts. I have Whatsapp registered to only one SIM but use the app on all my...

    Whatsapp backup problem

I have the Backup Daily setting enabled in the Whatsapp app on my primary device (the phone with the SIM that my Whatsapp account is registered to). However it never works and I have to backup to Drive manually. This is not specific to my primary device (S21 Fe) as the problem occurred when I...

Logout out Gmail (not Google) in Chrome

Thanks. I am not so concerned about logging into Gmail via a browser but more with logging OUT in case an intruder (online or in person) accessed my phone. I usually use the app anyway. But I suppose a non-Google browser or Chrome Incognito would do if I needed browser access.

Logout out Gmail (not Google) in Chrome

I think Spartacus is right and there is nothing I can do so as I am signed into Chrome. I think protecting Chrome with AppLock is the way. Google and others are always talking about security but they either make things too difficult or leave holes like this.

Logout out Gmail (not Google) in Chrome

Thanks I think signing out of Google altogether is a bit much. I think that would mean losing downloaded videos and music from YouTube. I would prefer to simply disable sync for Chrome or to include Chrome under AppLock.

Logout out Gmail (not Google) in Chrome

PS I have cleared site data (I don't use Google password manager) but this doesn't solve the problem. You can access the email by simply typing Gmail.com.

Logout out Gmail (not Google) in Chrome

Thanks for your replies. I normally access Gmail email via the app. I used it in the browser the other day because I was under the impression (mistaken) that I could set up separate mail folders (as in Yahoo). This is unimportant now as the main concern is signing out of email for security...
