If you're not rooted, just turn the phone to silent before opening the camera. No shutter sound. Works for me!

I've been searching for the answer to this all day. I've tried the clear data/cache multiple times with no help. I see from all the posts on the issue I'm not the only one but it can't be too widespread or there would be a lot more. I hope a solution is found soon....

I'm having the same problem today. Clearing the cache hasn't helped. I'm hoping its a gmail thing but it doesn't look like enough people are having the issue to be that. Any other ideas?
