i would say if you are new to sprint you would default to automatic. if you came from another phone or existing account your data profile may have carried that over and simple update either by sprint or yourself would set the default back to automatic. my 2c

no the picture size is the same regardless, the sensor captures all the data. Zoom merely focuses the sensor on X space .... does that help..

I don't think so, thye are compressing quite a bit and should give us the option to reduce the compression used and even add RAW mode to truly allow better photos. My guess is they are compressing to preserve space on the SD card....but who knows why they compress the crap out the pics...

Using a program like irfanview you can easily open the .mpo pictures...which is how the 3d photos are saved. The .mpo is NOTHING MORE than a joined file of the offset pics e.g. 2 unique pictures contained in one file. You cannot "combine" them without doing some distortion correction to...

I just switched between the original and A encoder and saw 0 difference in cpu...the cpu during a call moves all over the map regardless of what encoder i selected....so...until someone does some extensive tests to prove otherwise I would bet that changing this setting does little to cpu and may...
