You can use "ok Google" to read messages to you & allow you to reply. Not sure on voice announcing caller id. Might need outside app Posted via the Android Central App

I was able to set it up by telling ok google "joe is my dad" then clicked to confirm and it showed as a nickname. Then I could say "call my dad" & it worked. Not sure on voice issue, maybe do a cache wipe? (Btw I have sprint, not sure if that matters) Posted via the Android Central App

Thank you for the reply. I'm hoping not to have to put the phone on never time out. I was hoping there is just a setting for the kickstand only. So that when the kickstand is open the screen will not time out.

Is there a way to set the settings so the screen won't time out when in kickstand mode? I'd like to keep it on for the clock when listening to music in the mornings getting ready for work. I apologize if this has been covered, I didn't find anything on it. Thanks!

Have you tried Allcallrecorder or Androrec free call recorder? Andro advises some phones may not record other side so I guess it depends on your phone. The reviews mite help you decide
