MSRP is $499 as far as I know. I expect to be able to get it for lower.

Do any carriers in Canada support 900/2100Mhz frequency 3G? I thought most carriers there supported 850/1900Mhz and 1700/2100 (Band IV). If this is so, you won't any 3G coverage and the G2 or a differently branded phone is more likely. This phone is for Europe and Asia, it won't have 3G...

That is what I thought at first as well. However the 1700/2100Mhz frequencies of Band IV refer to the UL (uplink) and DL(downlink) frequencies. The uplink and downlink frequencies of Band I are 1900 and 2100Mhz, so I still don't understand really. Perhaps a Band IV phone can only pull down data...

My understanding was that Band IV 2100 and Band I 2100 use separate ranges round about 2100, which is why the Vibrant, for instance, explicitly states that it supports Band I and Band IV.

The is an HTC event on the 15th. I expect they will announce the Desire HD or Z or whatever, hopefully there will be a world version of the G2 as well!

Can this phone get 3G in Europe on UMTS band 2100? I am still unclear whether T-Mobile's Band IV phones can roam on 3G or not. If not I hope HTC releases a "world version" soon.

I would be shocked if it didn't. 4.0 too.
