Well mine is in a straight line, not curved in that picture. And its honestly not noticeable. Unless it really bothers you, I wouldn't recommend exchanging it. The next unit could always have backlight bleeding or even worse, dead pixels. Then you would have a REAL problem.

Well I spoke to a Samsung technical support agent via their livechat, and the agent I spoke with said that the band is due to the proximity sensor and is not a defect with my screen. Apparently, the line is only visible due to really high light exposure which explains why I can only see it...

I think it's just a thick sensor line that wasn't mean't to be noticed haha. I can only see it literally when its a inch below a lamp at a specific angle. I can't see it in a regularly lit room nor in sunlight. Odd. I'm still curious if others have this line.
