    Lineage OS 15.1

This is not true though. Every OS revision brings on optimization and other performance aspects. So while you're on Android Nouget "we" are on Oreo and soon to be "P". It's really easy to unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery (TWRP), and flash ROM's on Nexus devices. In fact there...

my nexus 6 shuts down when i talk on live messenger, play a movie, etc

It sounds like it's time for a new battery. This happens due to the load the phone is under and the battery can't supply the power needed.

    Nexus 6 Verizon update

There is a new radio for the Verizon version but I'm not sure what else is different (I know the baseband is the same). Maybe update if you plan on keeping it on Verizon for any length of time... but if everything is working fine then leave it as is? Ideally I would flash a custom ROM then...

Persistent voicemail notification on nexus 6

Have you made sure your APN settings are correct for your provider? At this point I would do a factory reset. Backup everything you want to keep. If that doesn't work then it has to be on the provider's side.

Persistent voicemail notification on nexus 6

Here's Google Voice on the Play Store (I don't know why you couldn't find it)...

    Android 8?

No, not officially from Google. Yes, if you know how to flash a ROM (which is easy). The first developed 8.0 ROM for the N6 is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/8-0-0r4-s-x-aosp-rom-r3ds-t3670056

    Route to Voicemail missing

I actually never knew this existed so I had to look it up. I assume it's a Google Contact feature that was removed. I would find older Google Contact apk's to install and find the one that still has that feature. Let us know what you find out.

    Nexus booting to Teamware recovery

If you are running the stock ROM you don't want to install the updates or it will cause problems like you mentioned. I would recommend installing a custom ROM if you don't already have one installed. Dark Rom and Pure Nexus would be my top 2 choices. Dark Rom gets updates pushed to your phone...

    Nexus booting to Teamware recovery

    What ROM were you running?

    Android 7.1.2

I would sideload the non-AT&T specific build. Or better yet flash a custom ROM.

    Android 7.1.2

I think this is a Bluetooth issue that has been known since 7.1.1. Turn off instant tethering (Settings>Google>Instant Tethering) and Scanning (Settings>Location>Menu).

    Smart Lock Trusted Places Fail

There isn't an option for that. The closest thing would be trusted location.

    Tester for DARK ROM?

A clean flash will ALWAYS clear up any quirks or errors unless it is an actual ROM issue thus it happens to everyone else. So when you have problems and nobody else is that is a tell-tale sign that something is either borked with your install or something you installed is causing problems. I...

    Tester for DARK ROM?

Awesome! Glad to have you back in the ROMing world. I knew it wasn't the ROM and was hoping you would persevere with trouble shooting. What I mean for doing multiple wipes in a row is what I described in post #9 within this thread. I repeat step 5 multiple times (usually 2-3) in a row before...

    Tester for DARK ROM?

Oh, ok, that must've been you on XDA that posted about this. A clean flash should've cleared everything up. Do you remember if you enabled all permissions within your Project Fi app? Did you test the phone out before adding Substratum and whatever additional add-ons you might've had? When...
