I got my OTA update to Lollipop (5.0.2) a few days ago and now Foxfi displays this when trying to enable WiFi tethering: "WiFi mode is no longer allowed in the latest phone system update without a mobile hotspot plan. Please use USB mode or Bluetooth mode instead using our software." :(:(:(

I noticed the same. It makes me have to keep adjusting my car volume all the time when navigating and streaming music. They should fix this in the Google Navigation app, although I won't hold my breath.

Same here. It hasn't really bothered me because 99% of the times it selects by default the correct bluetooth headset if I don't do it. I think it came with some update.

It's true. I quit using them after trying some for nothing. All they do is waste resources and battery.

This is one of most hated, useless and stupid features of the latest Android updates. To add insult to injury, Google rooted this crap in several deep places of the OS to prevent it from being disabled (at least in the HTC One). Probably the only way to kill it is rooting. There are innumerable...

Re: LTE Throttling Starts October 2014 It would be interesting to know the average data usage required to fall in that 5%. As far as I know, some poeple eat up to 80 GB a month. In my case I rarely go beyond 8 GB.

In fact, it sounds just too good. I've been misinformed or deceived by representatives enough to make me reject further offers as soon as they mention my unlimited plan. In your place, I would check that proposal several times. There is just NO way to get our cherished unlimited plan back...

This could sound dumb, but most of my issues are solved by just restarting the phone.

That's why I never listen to those promos.
