Foxfi Over WiFi Killed By Latest Verizon Update

I got my OTA update to Lollipop (5.0.2) a few days ago and now Foxfi displays this when trying to enable WiFi tethering: "WiFi mode is no longer allowed in the latest phone system update without a mobile hotspot plan. Please use USB mode or Bluetooth mode instead using our software." :(:(:(

    Cloud gallery hiding duplicate images

Same problem here. First of all, I didn't ask to hide my possible duplicate pictures and even less to upload them to a shady half functioning cloud. I don't backup my pics on the Verizon cloud (there many other much better). This noitification keeps coming on and the process never ends. What I...

    Bluetooth streaming with google navigation

I noticed the same. It makes me have to keep adjusting my car volume all the time when navigating and streaming music. They should fix this in the Google Navigation app, although I won't hold my breath.

Bluetooth Issue? Calls don't default to the bluetooth device

Same here. It hasn't really bothered me because 99% of the times it selects by default the correct bluetooth headset if I don't do it. I think it came with some update.

Do I need Battery Doctor or Clean Master?

It's true. I quit using them after trying some for nothing. All they do is waste resources and battery.

Unsafe Volume Warning After KitKat Update

This is one of most hated, useless and stupid features of the latest Android updates. To add insult to injury, Google rooted this crap in several deep places of the OS to prevent it from being disabled (at least in the HTC One). Probably the only way to kill it is rooting. There are innumerable...

Network Optimization: Throttling unlimited data LTE users (October 2014)

Re: LTE Throttling Starts October 2014 In fact, the FCC recently questioned Verizon about this. Probably luring people into getting rid of legacy unlimited plans is being much harder than they thought.

Network Optimization: Throttling unlimited data LTE users (October 2014)

Re: LTE Throttling Starts October 2014 It would be interesting to know the average data usage required to fall in that 5%. As far as I know, some poeple eat up to 80 GB a month. In my case I rarely go beyond 8 GB.

Network Optimization: Throttling unlimited data LTE users (October 2014)

Re: LTE Throttling Starts October 2014 I can't find that quote. I think they'll do it whenever the user is "connecting to a cell site when it is experiencing heavy demand."

Network Optimization: Throttling unlimited data LTE users (October 2014)

LTE Throttling Starts October 2014 Well, someday it had to catch us: "Starting in October 2014, Verizon Wireless will extend its network optimization policy to the data users who: fall within the top 5 percent of data users on our network, have fulfilled their minimum contractual commitment...

    Verizon xlte promo?

In fact, it sounds just too good. I've been misinformed or deceived by representatives enough to make me reject further offers as soon as they mention my unlimited plan. In your place, I would check that proposal several times. There is just NO way to get our cherished unlimited plan back...

This could sound dumb, but most of my issues are solved by just restarting the phone.

That's why I never listen to those promos.
