Maybe you're wright but I never had the need to disable 2SA. I used one of the other options (except SMS because I gave a family's phone). Actually right now I don't have G. Authenticator set up. I've being trying some ROMs lately and didn't care to set it up. Cheers

I think you can try this: create a folder inside your SDcard with the name Notifications or Ringtones and put your sound files in there. I've done this before and don't quite remember how I've done it. But I've these two folders on my internal memory (galaxy Nexus doesn't have an SDcard slot)...

Have you tried a simple reboot? And cleaning the cache's app?

Yeah, if it's a new phone, some might have these options in a notification so you have to choose between: charging only, MTP (file transfers), PTP (photo transfers) and, some, MIDI. As Golfdriver97 says, choose MTP. All the best
