I've had the s8 for a week. I have TMobile JOD so I swapped my S7 for it. It's gorgeous of course. The hardware is best in the biz right now. But..., Same as the S7, when it wakes from sleep the lag is super annoying. And my favorite feature, double tap to swap apps does not switch...

Do you have any exchange accounts setup? Depending on how they provisioned their email server it will disable trusted devices. I get around this by using Newton for my corporate emails.

To be clear, I'm saying the phone isn't for me unless it has OLED. I'm aware the typical user can't tell the difference. I can in an instant.

Most of my phone usage is indoors. When I had the g4 I found using the phone in bed at night with the screen glowing on black screens annoying. Moving forward it's OLED or bust for me.

I have jump on demand with T-Mobile. So I'll have the s8 when it comes out regardless. I'll let you know how it is in comparison. Wild guess here, but I'm sure it will still be slower. Unless Samsung completely cleans up TouchWiz.

I have an s7 proper alongside my pixel and even after a reset with nothing on the on the phone the pixel kills the s7 in speed. With all the hardware advantages that my s7 has, I simply dislike using it compared to the pixel. The perfect device would be an s7 running as quick as the pixel...

Hardware wise I wholeheartedly agree, however, the flat out performance of the Pixel is unmatched. That alone keeps my s7 in the drawer.

Pixel is better. I have both.
