    There's an app in the play Store called "custom Bixby button" it'll let you disable it completely or assign it a different role.

    My Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a dark screen.

    I too had the same problem and took the back off and reattached the LCD cable. Bam! Good as new! Thanks for tip! Saved me a master reset and sending it in!
