I had same issue. Samsung SD card....fried after update. They will replace, just have to fight them. May tell you 1 year warranty but it is actually 10on most of their cards. I've had 2 updates since then... Tired of this garbage which is only meant to brick your phone to get you to upgrade.

Did the update which screwed my battery, Verizon finally compensated for another battery... Then I get... ANOTHER SYSTEM UPDATE! 2IN A WEEK?

Why is it a phone that works great received an update and now is broken...and every excuse is blaming an app? THE PHONE WORKED FINE BEFORE THE UPDATE. If we weren't forced to install these updates, then yes blame the owner. Otherwise the carrier is at fault.

Verizon solution? Factory reset to a phone that was working fine before the update and is now a brick.

Did the wonderful update this weekend... Cleared partition cache after and updated all apps. Less than 3 hours MINIMAL usage... 78% battery remaining. Here we go again....

Again, I don't care about security updates. If my phone is working fine, I shouldn't be forced to update. It should be up to the individual.

Except when it specifically states it is for issues with 10+ year old software that very few people use....

You get the notification and once you pick INSTALL LATER...you can only do it a couple times, then it installs for you. If my phone is working fine, why do I want an update?

Samsung note 4. With Verizon since 10/15. Just got notification for my 4th software update. 1st, they replaced my device due to battery issues...then finally replaced the battery. 2nd, killed my Samsung SD card... Samsung finally replaced it under warranty. 3rd killed another battery, again...

Been with Verizon...and with att. Tried T-Mobile but coverage in my area would not work. Att was over half the cost.... But data sucked... everywhere I went local and travelling. Verizon definitely has the best coverage.... You get what you pay for. Posted via the Android Central App
