Can confirm - KXAN app is the culprit. Unsure if other NBC affiliate apps do the same.
Within the KXAN app (as of version 5.7.2018.202301312200), go to hamburger menu > Settings > Notification Settings > Station Sounds
Set to "No sound" to prevent random headline-related...
