Hopefully TMO can still get this merger done?

Hopefully, the existing mobile players will be largely excluded if it comes down to scrapping Sprint for parts--whether it happens by incentivizing a "new" player entering the market, or heavily regulating the spectrum the Big Three buy (kinda like the band 13 spectrum Verizon got) to make it a...

Hopefully TMO can still get this merger done?

I for one hope this merger doesn't go through. 4 to 3 i.e. less competition? No thanks.

Going to try T-Mo around Phila. PA.

Chex313, make sure you/your daughter test the service inside buildings too.

There's no better way to gauge coverage than what you plan to do.

Going to try T-Mo around Phila. PA.

Use as many coverage maps as possible to try to gauge what TMO's coverage is going to be like for you. Try TMO's official coverage map (which is often incorrect very optimistic, especially whenever it shows "fair" coverage,) opensignal.com, and Mint Mobile's coverage map. Mint is a separate...

    T-mobile adjusts EIP financing terms

This opens the door for phone manufacturers to raise prices. TMO prefers to keep EIPs at, what, $30 per month? 30x36=1080. Add in an "affordable" $100 down-payment: $1180. Add in more, like they're doing right now because financing is capped to $720 or whatever...you get the point. TMO didn't...

Three year contracts truly are Uncarrier (just don't look north of the border...)

The Importance of 5G to a "Light User"?

Apparently so. I've seen people claiming to be kicked off for 3-5 hours of daily usage.

Will the pocophone F1 work in the US?

The only place TMO has a native 850 MHz LTE network is Myrtle Beach, SC.

The Importance of 5G to a "Light User"?

Apparently they have a...limited definition of unlimited. I have seen people complaining about being cut off for excessive talk usage. Last I checked, 'reasonable' wasn't numerically defined anywhere.

The Importance of 5G to a "Light User"?

Mint is a bad idea, given OP's 2-6 hours of talk time per day.

Thinking about switching to T-Mo from VZW - But hesitant

Have you tried the T-Force/email to the CEO's office support options? It shouldn't take all that, but apparently it's a normalized part of "award winning customer service" these days. If TMO coverage/speeds are good for you, check out MVNOs--especially if you don't need unlimited on all lines...

    Data Breach at TMO...

Oh, this affects AT&T accounts too? I thought Verizon/AT&T (and Sprint?) iPhone ordering systems were different than TMO's so they weren't affected.

    Data Breach at TMO...

https://www.t-mobile.com/customers/6305378821 Maybe their next UnCarrier move could be about better protecting customer data. What is this, the third breach involving TMO?

Thinking about switching to T-Mo from VZW - But hesitant

Makes sense to me. They want to get rid of free 1080p, so they're pulling shenanigans like this...and introducing a new plan with no known HS video add-on. Uncarrier.
