Why does email using K9 seem to have a mind of its own?

If your email provider provides IMAP services (not just POP), use that. K9 does it just fine - and works perfectly for me.

Foxfi issue: Timing out with screen timeout

No help to your situation, but my FoxFI works with both the GSII screen on and off... there must be something else affecting it?

    Sense reboots

It is possible... and it's easy (my first time - piece of cake)... and not a single freaking restart since (no pun intended). http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g-rooting-roms-hacks/111357-guide-how-root-evo-4g-gingerbread-via-revolutionary.html

[Guide] How-to root Evo 4G gingerbread! via Revolutionary

Answering my own question: THIS ONE - from xda-developers - was recommended from a web search: xda-developers - View Single Post - [8-10-11][ROM] gingerbread-evo-deck [1.3b2][2.3.5 beta] I just installed GPS_Supersonic_FIX_Flash2 from the ZIP file - seemed to install just fine. First boot-up...

[Guide] How-to root Evo 4G gingerbread! via Revolutionary

This. I had to bump out of the process, reconnect via USB, and copy the SU file over... Since this was my first "rooting a phone experience", I was a tad nervous as to how it would respond, but no worries. If the process here had that one step added, it, too, would be easy-peasy to follow!

    What ROM are you using?

You need to clear your data (and possibly cache) partitions before it'll break out of the boot-animation-loop. Once you do that, it'll boot up just fine. I had the same issue - Googled it and found lots of others did, too.

    Pictures Taken With Your Evo!

Just took this with my EVO 4G - The spectacular Maroon Bells just outside of Aspen, CO. The *only* modification I've made to what came straight out of the camera was to make it fit within the attachment limit size...
