I am having this same thing happen. I know this is old but I cant find this anywhere else. What does it mean?

So I backed everything up and did the factory reset and it worked! Videos are playing again!

Will I lose anything that way?

Yes there is an option to select to use AwesomePlayer instead of NuPlayer

It happens in Safe Mode as well
