You are right. I could have tried the stock rom twice, but decided to try different roms to see if something worked. Your rom was next on my list. :) As it turned out, my wife went to work very happy today that her 3G was finally working again. I also was able to get her apps and data back. So...

I tried the stock rom but it could not activate...just hung; then I use the bumblebee rom...it says I have 3g now...thanks for your help....I am going to try to put it back to 2.3 now. :)

I forgot to mention that the reason for the M5 checksum error is that I saved the backup to a sdhd card. For some reason the Op V does not like those SDHD cards for rooting. I used a regular card to install the ROM. Backupshave worked fine for regular microsd cards. Also, any reason the 3g...

I have had some trouble flashing roms in the past. I have used a 32 GB sdcard (I know its overkill, but its the only one I got besides the 2GB that came with it).. It seems that even when flashing a particular rom that doesn't work on the 32gb sdcard, it works when I try it using the 2 gb...

I don't like not having a choice whether I want to upgrade or not. I was happy with the older versions and do not like the newer one. Do you know whom specifically I should contact about this?

Why don't you just take your files off your sd card, put them on your computer somewhere, format your sdcard and then put your files back (the ones you saved on your computer) on the sdcard.:)

In prefer the older ones. It was simple and to the point. But, I guess we have to like the new version, since it is on our phones without our blessings. ;)

I did the same. I even added an old googleapps (march I think) because I prefer it better than the new one. Oh well, I guess we don't have a choice in this. I'm glad the market can now be downloaded from computer in this recent rom release. I prefer that way since I can read more about the apps.

Thanks to everyone that tried to help me last night. After sleeping on it, this morning I decided to unroot my phone and start back at square one. I downloaded all new files and put them in a folder. And it worked. I can now finally flash other recoveries - current have RA=thunderc-1.1.0-GNM...

I tried this method and it didn't work. But thanks just the same. I really don't know what I am doing wrong that it cannot flash another recovery.:-[

I give up. I tried every way possible to flash another recovery. I get errors every time. I am very careful too. There is something on my phone blocking me or something. Thanks for trying to help though. I do appreciate it. And now all of a sudden I can now install your 7/30 rom. I could not do...
