    Which Xiaomi phone would you pick?

    I have the mi9. Great phone, good camera. The only downside is a smallish battery, but it does get me through a 10 hour shift just fine. The gull was a complete fluke shot, but it demonstrates what the camera is capable of.

    Afternoon Andrew, im in the UK. Really tempted by the mi9, I have the mi 8, how's the battery life on the mi9. Don't need anything special,I work long shifts and need something to last 12 hours with light use. The mi8 sails through.

    I really liked my ZTE axon 7. Good speakers, good camera. Regret selling it.

    get a second status bar on a notched phone?

    I have the same problem,I enabled all the notifications to appear on the lock screen so that helps. Can't find a way round it, have you found an app yet??

    I quite like the weather and radar UK app. Carrot is entertaining, but can be inaccurate sometimes.

    On my new Nokia 8 (Android 8.1) I only get notifications when I open an app. How to solve this?

    Try going into the settings and opening the home launcher. I cleared all data and cache from it and restarted my phone. That seemed to do the trick with mostly all notifications.
