KitKat broke the text blocking/blacklisting apps. Is there any app that has been rewritten to work on KitKat? (Actually, I have a Nexus 7 that I have installed the Nexus 5 SMS app on. Haven't been able to get Go SMS Pro to work on my Nexus 7, but the Nexus 5 app works fine.)

Is there an app that really blocks SMS text from blacklisted numbers? Avast is working on their software, since Google broke text blocking with KitKat. But has anybody already released software that really works with KitKat? (I used the Nexus 5 SMS app on my Nexus 7 in order to restore SMS...

The latest version is free, but they warn that OS upgrade breaks it.

Kit-Kat broke the text message blocking for all Apps, including Avast. They are working on writing their own code.

So by your logic, if I don't like calls from telemarketers, I should get rid of all my phones? I do have a Nexus 7. Before Kit-Kat, there were lots of Apps that would block SMS texts from blocked numbers. But that api was removed from Kit-Kat (desire to rant here, resisted). So programmers...

I've installed the Nexus 5 SMS app, but can find no way to block text. Every app on the play store says not compatable. (SMS Pro does not work. Cannot even enter text, except in big edit, and it only saves draft.). Nexus 5 app works fine, but no way to block spam.
