They should be there. In the Downloads folfer, there is a Media Hub folder. Path is /download/SamsungMediaHub/Contents. I used the built in File Manager app to locate.

I think the plastic back is also to reduce the weight of the tablet. I find it much more comfortable to hold for longer periods of time than say, dare say, an Ipad!
