ok first thing you have to do is make a backup, its as easy as going into ROM MANAGER and scroll down to "backup Current Rom" it will send you to recovery and start making the backup (backup is if anything goes wrong your not screwed) to change roms just go to recovery and just do these steps...

To everyone that is having the problem where your connected, usb bugging is on, and it still says waiting for device. Make sure you disconnect the usb first and then plug back in, for some reason the program doesn't recognize usb debugging when connected to pc the first time. so make sure its on...

thats what i did, i was 2.2 rooted and as soon as i heard the root was out for the new one i updated and rooted. there really is no benefit only that your phone is up to date

take out the battery, and hold down the volume button and the power, when in bootloader click recovery and then click on restore. After restore hit reboot system now and you should be good. (:
