have you tried DSPManager.apk from CM7? It might not cause the noise and it still gives pretty good audio management.

Changes from rooting, such as deleting stock apps? (I did back them up)

My Photon is rooted, and the update will not install. Do I need to unroot? I have read other people having the issue but unrooting did not help. Any ideas?

Can I use the guide in this forum for rooting an EVO Shift, to root an EVO? Shouldn't it be the same? They both are running the same OS and rooting is modifying the OS to give superuser actions. I ask because the one provided here does not erase everything, where as the one in the EVO forum does.

Everytime I turn my evo shift off and plug it in, it boots clockwork.... why is it doesn't this????!!!(permrooted)

k i got it thanks! And you can ignore or reply to my last message, I see that the overclock kernal has OC/UB (overclock undervolt) which makes me feel better. BTW I only did the OC one, the otherone won't erase things will it?

I'm permrooted now using the guide, and now what? How do I get the OC stuff/kernals and apply/flash them? With backing up my current state/apps/data.
