Verizon still giving me a strong 4G/LTE signal here in Virginia.

Dell Windows 8 laptop, Verizon Android tablet, and my Pixel 2. That combination works for me.

I would recommend the 2XL. I used both in store and went home with a 2XL. The LED, the feel in the hand, the bigger battery, and the price were all considerations that helped with my decision. You will be happiest with the 2XL.

If anyone is having this problem, turn off battery optimization for the offending app. I had to tinker with this for a while.

I'm not getting the 3XL because of: - the notch - incremental changes I believe the 4XL will be a more dramatic leap forwards in capability and battery life. Initial reviews here and on HowardForums point to *decreased* battery life on the 3XL compared to the 2XL, which is absurd.

I'm getting about 6 hours SOT since Pie and the November update.

I've also noticed that there is a handoff if I go upstairs between LTE and Wifi. I utilize the local subway system a lot and there is a lot of handoff between 3G and LTE, which is understandable. Netify is helpful in that you don't have to keep your eyes glued to the service icon on the status...

Update after installing November patch last night on a 2XL: everything is much smoother and faster, and I have noticed a slight increase (unscientific) in battery life. In fact, AccuBattery tells me I now have over 82 hours of standby time.

It was 91MB on Verizon. I have a Panda 2XL and it just finished. Took about 20 minutes total.

Better to leave it enabled.

There's no need to bump up to a 3XL for me at this point, primarily because it's all incremental change. Radical change, which could come as early as the Pixel 4XL, would make me upgrade.
