Re: firmware update Finally got mine to update....Did all of the above and it took about 15 times but it finally worked. Tablet shuts off now.......Happy camper!

Re: firmware update Is this being rolled out OTA or does a person have to search for it. I haven't seen anything at all. Tried looking on the "software update" function in settings but nothing.

I have talked to a couple of "Samsung" people who say they are aware of the problem and a "Fix" is on the way...I have been dealing with this for just over 3 months now and still nothing but talk from Samsung. Very frustrating......Really don't think a Samsung product will be bought by my family...

This is getting ridiculous....All the quick fix work arounds seem to only work every now and then, even the ones I suggested. Samsung really needs to fix this. What is the point of having a device that you can't even shut off.

Well I finally got it to shut off 5 times in a row. Here is what I did. While on the main page I pushed the power button to put it to sleep, then I woke it up and from the lock page I was able to power the unit down. Like I said I did it five times and it worked every time. Would someone else...

Well the long hold on the screen prompts is kind of hit and miss. This is pretty frustrating...Anybody got any idea's?

Try doing a long hold on the screen settings that ask you if you want to power off. That seems to be working for me.

I discovered that if you do a LONG hold on the screen settings to power off, the device will stay off... Also I noticed that goggle play movies and tv shows now play on my device. Before nothing, well maybe audio now and then.

I am having the same issue as well.

Anybody else having problems with video actually working via the Goggle move app from the play store? It works on the Tab 2, 7 inch tablet but not on the 10.1 device. I have tried just about everything and cannot get the app to work.
