I thought I would weigh in. I too had this problem on Doris Maxx using 4.4.4. I fixed it by closing tabs on google chrome browser. Some pages have audio ads that were...how would I say..."left active" as far as the OS was concerned. Anyway, one can try closing out browser tabs too.
