I'm actually leaning more towards a possibly not so good possibility. My first instinct is a bad LCD due to the miscoloration and the lines on the screen. However, that coupled with the freezing also indicates the possibility of liquid damage in the device.

Find a tech center, speaker replacement is an authorized repair - and a very easy repair at that. Your insurance covers the repair and should have no cost for you. As long as it isn't going out due to Liquid or Physical damage you will be fine.

The youtube/flash videos are a known issue with 2.2, that's one of the bug fixes with the 2.3 push - people with EVO's rejoiced today... There is also a known issue with the speaker going out, which is separate from software issues...it might not be a bad idea for you to have your phone looked...
