ZVD to ZVH - is it worth it?

the double tap killed zvh for me. Also I could never get the camera to work right using zvh while overclocking -- always produced haze and lines. I could back down to 600mhz and the problems would go away, but then no overclocking... I loved the text selection features of GB, but ultimately...

    [KERNEL][GB] GingerKernel v08.1 (OC) DOUBLE-TAPPING BUG FIXED!!!

Setcpu doesn't seem to perform any differently for me, either. Sounds like it might vary depennding on ssetup.

Re: [ROM] - gROM 2.1 - 10/8 - GB - OC'ed - Infinite Possibilities Has anyone tried any other overclockable kernels with this ROM? My video camera flickers with GingerKernel 5.1 and 6.2 at speeds above 600. Flickering gets worse with higher clock speeds. UPDATE: Using new SavagedZen governor...

    [KERNEL][GB] GingerKernel v08.1 (OC) DOUBLE-TAPPING BUG FIXED!!!

Re: [KERNEL][GB] GingerKernel v06.2 (OC) I'm really sorry to hear about the kernel difficulties, Drew. It's puzzling why Sprint (and esp LG) wouldn't want to give devs more support -- it would make more people LOVE their phones! This may seem petty in comparison, but my phone's video camera...

This should work for you: http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-optimus-s-rooting-roms-hacks/123855-official-sprint-zvd-froyo-downgrade-now-available.html Note that you will need to install a stock recovery before performing. See this comment for help with that...

    [THEMES] Optimus s Gingerbread Themes

Hey jstntp is it possible to get a patch just for the blue circle battery indicator from reTouched? I'm on gROM and would love to add just that. No IQ seemed to break the Sprint Family Locator app for me. Thanks!

Re: [ROM] - gROM 2.1 - 10/8 - GB - OC'ed - Infinite Possibilities If I flash the circle battery zip file and don't like it, how do I revert? I guess I could go back to a nandroid, just wondering. Also, per Scott's recommendation, a clean install of 2.0 completely fixed my GPS issue. I've been...

Okie dokie will give it a go with clean flash (wipe everything etc flash system debug zip). Thanks! Could GPS issues be a kernel issue or more likely some file at the ROM level? Just wondering in case problems persist. Maybe could be either?

Is anyone having trouble with GPS staying on? It locks for only brief periods -- impossible to keep it locked to use a GPS tracker like MyTracks. Still on gROM 1.2 with ginngerkerrnel 5.1. Any reason to think upgrading will fix this?

Any call blocking apps for Opti-ROM or gRom?

Totally agree about Google Voice. Great for blocking spam calls too.

    [KERNEL][GB] GingerKernel v08.1 (OC) DOUBLE-TAPPING BUG FIXED!!!

Re: [KERNEL][GB/CM7] GingerKernel v06 (OC) I can no longer use Google's My Tracks GPS tracker and I'm not sure if it's the kernel or my SetCPU governor settings. I've tried smartassv2, interactivex, and ondemand. Maybe 245 is too low to power gps when the screen is off. Do I just need to raise...

    [KERNEL][GB] GingerKernel v08.1 (OC) DOUBLE-TAPPING BUG FIXED!!!

Interesting. I flashed gROM 1.2 yesterday and then this kernel and am having to battle double taps. Sounds like some peeoople are having bbetter outcomes if they flash the ROM over it. Maybe I'll give that a try.

On the overclocking battery question, higher processor speed can help battery last longer because the screen itself is such a large power draw. Lets say you are browsing and checking emails -- faster CPU means you can download the same number of pages and emails faster, reducing the overall time...
