I'm sure Verizon will leave it open. They are finally paying attention to their customers who want to customize their phones. I also have a Samsung Omnia and it seems to be very open. Wifi works great and the recently unlocked GPS also works great. I am only choosing the Droid over the Omnia...

I'll head to Verizon store. I went to BB last night and they had no idea what I was talking about. I'd rather just go to the Verizon store so I can get the correct discounts and contract stuff. I'll let my wife handle the rebate nightmare.
